I talk a LOT about music when I’m streaming or on Bluesky – I played in a band for several years, and music’s been an “instrumental” part of my life for as long as I can remember. New music drops so frequently nowadays – no more waiting for an entire album to hit the music stores. So, every Friday, I’ll post a few of the songs I’m enjoying for you all to enjoy with me.
Sleep Theory – Afterglow
This song’s been out for a while, but the entire album dropped, and the wait was worth it. I’m super stoked to be able to see them in a month with Nevertel, Oxymorrons, and Stray View. If you’re looking for a band that’s new, but has a fantastic sound… this is it.

Three Days Grace – Apologies
I was intrigued when I heard that Three Days Grace’s old singer Adam Gontier was coming back – especially after handing over duties to Matt Walst. But they sound SO. GOOD. TOGETHER. Mayday was a great intro to the two-lead era, and Apologies is no exception.
Callous Daoboys – Full Moon Guidance
The Daoboys have been on my radar for several months now; partly because of the name, but they have such a great, raw sound. Their album – I Don’t Want To See You In Heaven – dropped today, but some of the songs released earlier. Definitely check out “Distracted by the Mona Lisa” – it’s one of my favorites from the album.
Starset – Head Over Heels
I -love- the concept albums that Starset comes out with, but this release (technically not new, it dropped two weeks ago) is a great cover of the Tears for Fears song by the same name, and it popped up today on my radar.
MxPx – 100
I’ve been a fan of MxPx since the Chick Magnet days, and I love seeing them continue to push Pop Punk. This one’s silly – but I miss some of the silly punk songs that have silly lyrics and say silly things. The vibe’s good, and so it gets a mention on the list.
And just because I’ve been talking about it on Bluesky… yes, I’m still enjoying Even In Arcadia by Sleep Token, and I’ve been doing a deeper dive on their music. So good.
Any that I’ve forgotten? Want to send a few awesome songs my way? Let me know on Bluesky.

If you’ve got any recommendations in the Rock/Metal/Punk/Emo/Grunge genres… shoot them my way. I’m always looking for more music to inject 🙂
